Amy Gross

Position: L3Harris

Amy Gross is a Sustainability, Principal for the Space and Airborne Systems (SAS) segment at L3Harris. As a Principal, Amy oversees all reporting and analysis of the SAS segment’s progress on Environmental and Social Governance goals and develops strategies to attain L3Harris’s reduction targets for greenhouse gas emissions, water reduction, and waste diversion. She is also responsible for identifying, implementing, and measuring the impact of sustainability initiatives.

Before joining L3Harris, Amy spent 5 years as the Sustainability lead for Joby Aviation, where she developed and grew Joby’s environmental and sustainability programs. Amy’s career started with Santa Cruz County, spending 14 years in related roles, including Environmental Programs Coordinator at the Department of Public Works. While there, Amy developed and directed a wastewater laboratory, managed the environmental compliance programs, and co-created the Monterey Bay Area Green Business Program, which today is a state-wide program that attracts over $3 million in funding annually while reducing greenhouse gas emissions by over 800,000 metric tons annually.

Amy earned a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and an Executive Master’s degree in Sustainability Leadership from Arizona State University. She is also certified as a Qualified Industrial Stormwater Professional (QISP).
