Andrea Pesce is the Director of Industry Alliances for the recently launched Innovation & Business Engagement (IBE) Hub at UC Santa Cruz. The IBE Hub serves as the point of entry for UC Santa Cruz partners—industry, entrepreneurs, and more, to engage with campus discoveries, innovation, resources, and talent. Andrea supports all campus divisions by facilitating new and strengthening existing corporate partnerships for research sponsorships and collaborations, in addition to other faculty and student opportunities with industry. Before joining UC Santa Cruz, Andrea worked in the Office of Technology Licensing at Stanford University, and previous to that she in-licensed university-owned intellectual property for a biotechnology company. Andrea holds a B.S. in Biology from the University of New Hampshire and a M.S. in Biology from San Diego State University, as well as professional certificates from Stanford.
